Target standard

For the design and development we take our guidance from the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at conformance level AA as well as the European standard EN 301 549. We work continuously to further improve compatibility with these requirements.

Implemented assistive functions

Several tools are available to you via the accessibility menu on our website. Your settings remain saved in your browser for future visits:

• Read-aloud function

  Reads out the page content or a selected passage of text in German.
• Enlarge text

  Enlarges the text in several steps up to 150% - without the layout breaking.
• Dark mode

  Switches to a dark, eye-friendly display.
• Contrast enhancement

  Increases the contrast for better readability.
• Highlight links

  Highlights all links clearly and visibly.

Further technical measures

• Structuring of content with semantic HTML and a sensible heading hierarchy
• Operability via keyboard and visible focus markers
• Alternative text for meaningful images
• Responsive layout for smartphone, tablet and desktop
• Self-hosted fonts and attention to sufficient colour contrasts

State of compatibility

This website is largely accessible. Individual content - in particular embedded third-party content (e.g. videos) or older documents - may not yet be fully accessible. We are continuously improving the website.
