eKlecia® vs. eCantore
eCantore offers two products: the app eCantore go (freemium with stream limits and tiered tariffs) and the eCantore sound module (one-time hardware investment). We compare both honestly with eKlecia® – with all their strengths and limits. More about over 1000 songs, the features and prices.

eKlecia® vs. eCantore go (app)
Two apps with fundamentally different pricing and product philosophies.

What the stream limits mean in practice
eCantore itself gives the guideline „100 streams ≈ 10 services“. On this basis, typical usage profiles look like this:
Model calculation based on the guideline stated by the provider; the actual costs may differ depending on the tariff choice and usage (as of June 2026).
All prices are exclusive of statutory VAT.
On monthly price alone, eCantore go is cheaper than eKlecia® in almost all typical usage scenarios. Our added value does not lie in a lower price, but in structural simplicity: no stream counting, no tariff changes as you grow, unlimited devices, stop settings from day one, both denominations at no extra charge, personal support. Anyone who values flat-rate clarity more highly than the lowest monthly price is in the right place with us.
eKlecia® vs. eCantore sound module
App versus hardware box – a fundamentally different approach.
Information without guarantee. Sound module price according to the provider per ecantore.de/soundmodul (as of 2025); other information as of June 2026. Speaker costs are an estimate that depends on the existing equipment and vary depending on the size of the church.
What eKlecia® does better
We don't want to be the cheapest provider. We want to be the most reliable, most comprehensive and most honest solution for parishes that expect digital organ music as a matter of course.
Adjusting the organ stops – small village organ, mighty cathedral organ, bright or dark timbre – is standard in every eKlecia® license. With eCantore go, stop adjustment is according to the provider only available from the Pro tariff (65 €/month).
An eKlecia® license allows any number of devices at the same time: the priest's smartphone, the tablet in the sacristy, the choir room's devices, the care-home tablet, the devices in the branch church. eCantore Pro is according to the provider limited to 5 devices, Basic to one (as of June 2026).
We make no distinction between denominations or core sections: all 1000+ songs from Gotteslob and EG are included from day one. According to the provider, eCantore Basic includes one core section of your choice; the full range is included in the Pro tariff.
With eKlecia® it stays at 39 € a month – even if your usage grows, new locations are added or more songs are requested. With eCantore's tiered model, a higher tariff or an add-on may become necessary as usage grows. For church budget planning, many institutions appreciate a flat price.
For whom is which solution better?
eKlecia® – recommended if …
- you want a flat-rate solution without tariff changes and stream counting
- stop settings are a self-evident basic function for you
- you cover both denominations (Gotteslob & EG) without changing tariff
- the app should run in parallel on several devices and locations
- personal support and a direct contact person matter
- you would like to test for 4 weeks with the full range of features

eCantore go – possibly if …
- you are looking for the lowest monthly price
- you only play very occasionally, in a single chapel (Free/Basic tariff)
- a single device and a single core section are enough (Basic)
- you are prepared to change tariffs as your usage grows
- you already own eCantore hardware (+Plus tariff for 5 €/month)
- you would like to automate an existing pipe organ (sound module)
Premium instead of a tariff staircase. Test it for four weeks.

Frequently asked questions
How does eKlecia® compare on price with eCantore go? +
Very well: eKlecia® costs 39 € a month – flat, all inclusive. eCantore go Pro is 65 € a month and is capped at 500 streams and 5 devices. So with us you pay less and get more: all 1000+ songs from Gotteslob AND the Evangelisches Gesangbuch without changing tariff, stop settings included from day one, unlimited devices without a 5-device limit, no stream counting, personal support and four weeks of full access for a no-obligation trial.
What are „streams“ with eCantore – and how many do I need? +
eCantore itself provides the rule of thumb: 100 streams correspond to about 10 services. An average parish with one Sunday service per week therefore gets by with the Free or Basic tariff (100 streams each). But as soon as regular devotions, weekday services, care-home appointments or several branch churches are added, the Pro tariff (500 streams) becomes necessary – and for very active institutions add-ons are added (5 € per +100, 35 € per +1.000 streams). With eKlecia® we don't count at all.
Why is the stop setting included as standard with eKlecia®? +
That is a question of product philosophy. We consider the sound adjustment – small organ, large organ, bright or dark preset – to be a basic function that every parish needs. That is why it is part of every license with us. eCantore assigns stop adjustment, according to its own tariff description, to the Pro tariff (approx. 65 €/month, according to the provider, as of June 2026).
Can we play in several churches at the same time with eKlecia®? +
Yes, without restriction. An eKlecia® license allows parallel use on an unlimited number of devices within your institution – mother church and branch church at the same hour, rectory and care home, sacristy and choir rehearsal. No device limits, no location restrictions, no surcharges.
What exactly do you need in addition to the eCantore sound module? +
The sound module (according to the provider approx. 1.250 €, as of 2025) delivers the organ sound, but according to the provider requires a separate speaker system as well as audio connections (Cinch or jack). Depending on the existing equipment and the size of the church – as long as no suitable system is available – an estimated 300–600 € or more may be added for speakers and cables. As a rough example calculation of our own, this would come to approx. 1.800–2.000 € one-time (calculated; the actual costs depend on the existing equipment and may differ).
What is the eCantore go +Plus tariff? +
According to eCantore, this is a special tariff for customers who already own an eCantore organ control or a sound module. They then pay only 5 €/month (60 €/year) and receive the Pro features with 5 devices and 500 streams. For parishes without this hardware, the tariff cannot be booked.
Can eKlecia® control an existing pipe organ? +
eKlecia® is an app-based solution. The organ sound is played back via the church's existing sound system or a Bluetooth box. Direct mechanical or electrical control of a physical pipe organ is not provided for – the eCantore hardware system is positioned differently in this particular respect.
All information on eCantore is based on publicly available information (as of June 2026) and may have changed since then.
