What eKlecia® does better
Opus Musici is a well-thought-out product. But anyone who values flexibility will find the more contemporary solution in eKlecia®.
With Opus Musici there is a multi-year commitment (3 or 5 years) according to the provider (as of 2025). eKlecia® commits you for only 12 months instead of several years – and beforehand you test it free for four weeks (longer on request), so that you are truly convinced.
eKlecia® runs on the sexton's smartphone, the tablet in the parish office and the pastor's laptop at the same time. With Opus Musici you work with the supplied tablet according to the provider.
Instead of waiting for a hardware package to be shipped, you download eKlecia® today and are ready to use it in the service tomorrow. The trial access is also available immediately.
Over 1000 songs from the Gotteslob and the Evangelisches Gesangbuch – professionally recorded on real pipe organs. The song library grows continuously, at no extra cost.
Which solution is better for whom?
eKlecia® – recommended if …
- you don't want to commit for 3 or 5 years
- the app is to run at several locations or on several devices in parallel
- you want to start immediately – with no hardware delivery
- you would first like to try it free for 4 weeks
- a large, growing song library matters
- you want to use an existing tablet or smartphone
Opus Musici – possibly if …
- a low monthly rate matters more than flexibility
- you deliberately want a budget that is plannable over the long term
- a permanently installed tablet including a speaker is desired
- you cannot provide your own hardware
Test first, then decide
With eKlecia® you take no risk: 4 weeks free trial, then a 12-month term – instead of a 3–5 year commitment, with no delivery period, no hardware lock-in.

Frequently asked questions
Isn't Opus Musici cheaper than eKlecia®? +
No – on the contrary. According to the provider (as of 2025), Opus Musici starts at 75 € a month (with a 5-year commitment) or 95 € (with 3 years). eKlecia® costs 39 €/month – with no minimum term, with full flexibility on all devices and a 4-week free trial beforehand. So you pay significantly less, don't commit for years and use the app on any number of devices.
Do I need my own hardware with eKlecia®? +
You can use any existing smartphone or tablet. For playback in the church we recommend a Bluetooth box (from approx. 200 €) or your church's existing PA system. With Opus Musici, the tablet and box are included in the rental price – with eKlecia® you remain more flexible in your choice of device.
What happens with Opus Musici after the rental period ends? +
After the multi-year commitment (3 or 5 years, as of 2025) according to the provider expires, a follow-up agreement must be made according to the provider. You should clarify the exact terms for renewal or contract termination in writing before signing the contract. With eKlecia® this question does not arise – you are free every month.
Can I also use eKlecia® in several parishes? +
Yes. One licence can be installed on several devices, for example on the tablet in the main church and the sexton's smartphone for the branch church. With Opus Musici you need a separate hardware package for each location.
