Hosting of this website

This website is hosted by Cloudflare. The provider is Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. To deliver the website, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data (e.g. IP address, time of access, content retrieved) and provides protection and performance functions (content delivery network). The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and efficient provision of this website).

Cloudflare is based in the USA; this may result in personal data being transferred to the USA. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; in addition, the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission apply. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Cloudflare pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

Server log files

When the website is accessed, information that your browser transmits is automatically recorded: browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL, time of the server request and the IP address. This data is processed for technically error-free presentation and for security (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) and is not merged with other data sources.

Data in the eKlecia® app

Data that you create in the eKlecia® app (e.g. access data, song lists and presets) is processed by our processor on servers within the European Union and is therefore subject to European and German data protection law (GDPR, BDSG). In regular operation, this app data is not transmitted to third parties for advertising or analysis purposes. This meets the requirements that church data protection officers and dioceses place on cloud services.

Cookies and consent

Our website uses cookies and comparable technologies. We use technically necessary cookies that are required for the operation of the website on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. All non-essential cookies as well as the use of the analysis and marketing services mentioned below take place exclusively after your prior consent pursuant to § 25 (1) TDDDG and Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

When you first access the website, you decide freely via our cookie banner which categories you allow. Your selection is stored locally in your browser. You can revoke or adjust your consent at any time with effect for the future - via the 'Cookie settings' link in the footer.

Contact and test access

If you contact us via the contact form, the 'Request test access' form or by email, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, message and, where applicable, details about your parish or institution) in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The data remains with us until the purpose of storage no longer applies or you request deletion, unless statutory retention obligations prevent this.

For the technical delivery of these messages to our mailbox, we use the email delivery service Resend (Resend, Inc., USA) as a processor. The form data you transmit is transferred to the USA for delivery. The transfer is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission; a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR exists with the provider.

The IP address is processed in shortened form (IP anonymisation).

The legal basis is your consent pursuant to § 25 (1) TDDDG and Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. In this context, data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and standard contractual clauses apply in addition. You can revoke your consent at any time via the 'Cookie settings'.
